Personalised Notebooks//DIY

Sometimes in life things need jazzing up, so when I got an idea to upgrade my boring looking planner I was all on that business and couldn't help but share. It's a great way to add personality to your notebooks and agendas. I know there are beautiful and quirky ones out their with funky cute patterns but they also have a beautifully inflated price tag. Sadly enough at that point I have to place the notebook down and step away even though the notebook hoarder in me yearns to hold on.

So seen as its #moneysavymarch it's all about up-cycling and upgrading using things we can cheaply source and easily manage. All you need is a notebook, my ones from the good old £' store but you can easily source plain notebooks from any store. And you also need a texture or pattern to place on the cover.

I've gone for a cute quote because they seem to be all the rage when it comes to notebooks and it was too cute not to copy. Other ideas can be using scraps of wrapping paper, magazine cut-outs or even a montage of a memorable day out- the possibilities are endless.

Cut out your chosen typography or paper to fit the cover of your notebook and stick in place. With spiral bound books like the one I've chosen it can be hard to fit it perfectly without seeing any of the original patterns but try your best to get an even and natural look.

These personalised notebooks can make great gifts just by adding cute imagines and personal memories or jokes that they can appreciate. Gifts don't have to break the bank and a handmade gift is definitely one with more love and thought put into it.

If you have a go at making your own personalised planner/notebook/agenda then make sure you send it to me on any social media @whatididonwednesday #moneysavymarch
