Revlon Superlustrous lipgloss

Lipgloss has always been a childhood lip product that I've matured from. The days of sticky glittery tubes are gone, and although I still own half the baby makeup I used to play around with, I'm onto the grownup versions with much pride!

The revlon superlustrous line of lipglosses have been around for ages i assume but knowing me I've just got my hands onto trying some. Not so recently perhaps its been a year, so I have a 'proper' opinion on it to give you guys.

Firstly the colour. Can we just admire the pinky red tone because its pretty darn amazing. The golden shimmer is something I'm not 100% in love with but its so subtle that I can get over that little fault. The packaging is not too bad considering it's a high street purchase, the gold gives it a glamorous look. The applicator is pretty standard for this type of thing so I'm not too fussed. It does the job and is not bad at it.

The actual application of the gloss is not sticky at all, in fact its pretty thick and moisturising on the lips. It has a sheer pink tint with the golden flex of glitter that works well on top of a nudey pink lipsticks or on its own. Overall the shimmer can get too disco-ball-like if you like to build it up so I tend to stick to one coat because the light reflecting off my lips is not too flattering, but I guess that goes for all lipglosses.

  1. This is such a lovely shade - it's nice that it's not sticky :) x
